Maggie Thai & Chinese was first established in 1998 at No.1 Liang Seah Street. It offers a wide range of Thai and local food, ranging from Thai lime steamed fish to local cereal prawn.
Their motto: to use only the freshest quality ingredients in all the preparation for our dishes, as they are essential in bringing out the ultimate taste of each individual dish.
So much about their history, we are here to try their dishes. For dinner today, we ordered the following 3 dishes:
1. Thai style fried chicken - the best among the 3 dishes ordered. Generous portion of fried chicken topped with mango salad drizzled with thai style sauce. A very appetizing dish and goes very well with plain rice.
2. Radish omelette - the next recommended dish. It is not as fluffy as how some Thai restaurant would do it and it has some local flavor to it. I am a radish omelette lover and would rate this dish 3.5/5.
3. Green curry vegetables - we found this drink least tasty of all. There was too much coconut with no green curry taste and the vegetables are very little. We were quite disappointed with this dish.
Overall, we could agree with their motto on using fresh ingredients but in terms of taste, they may not be the best. The dishes are rather price friendly and there is no service charge.
