Pot Addition is an international steamboat and BBQ restaurant serving both Korean meat BBQ and steamboat at very affordable prices. Dinner is priced at $24.90++ and lunch at $22.90++ for adults. Additional yuan yang  steamboat can be added at $12++ per pot.

Meat lovers will love this restaurant as there are about 10 varieties of marinated meat to choose from: juicy beef steak and collar to tender chicken, all done in different style. We so love their taste and tenderness of the meat.

For steamboat, there is also a wide range of ingredients and vegetables to choose from and the 8 choices of different soup bases. We opted for their Tom yum and herbal chicken soup which tasted so delicious and sweet.
Pot Addiction at Sun Plaza Sembawang

For sauces, there are 26 different kinds of flavours to choose from and we highly recommend their satay and homemade chilli sauce. Besides the ingredients for BBQ and steamboat, there are other cooked side dishes like mandu, japchae, Korean fried chicken etc.

For cheese lovers, one can opt for their cheese dips with bbq meat. For its price, it's definitely value for money with the quantity and quality of food. The only limitation is that every table is limited to 90mins of eating time. For Korean bbq meat lovers, come and try this recommended restaurant.

Zi Yean, a very nostalgic restaurant, located at Lengkok Bahru (Redhill) has spinned off a branch beside their main tze char restaurant, Zi Yean Bistro. It offers dim sum throughout the day and of course, you can order their tze char dishes as well.

We were warmly welcomed by their lady boss and the restaurant really gave us a very old traditional yum cha feel with the tiled walls. $2 drink and towel charge is compulsory for all customers. We opted for Chinese tea to wash down the dim sum greasiness. Here's our order:

1. Xiao Long Bao ($5) - 5 juicy xiao long bao with ginger and vinegar dip. The pork filling was fresh and not porky at all. We just found the skin a little thick and hard. Rating: 3.5/5

2. Siew mai ($3.30) - juicy and crunchy with prawn and meat. Value for money. Rating: 3.8/5

3. Spicy wantons ($4.50) - 5 juicy wantons with spicy sauce. Lack the sour and spicy kick but still acceptable. Rating: 3.5/5

4. Fried shredded yam cake ($3.60) - the best dim sum dish of all. Really like eating pure yam. Very well done as it was crunchy and delicious. Rating: 4/5

5. Braised chicken feet ($3.60) - a little lack in taste and dry. Rating: 3.2/5

6. Black pepper chicken cutlet noodles ($4.50) - looks good but was disappointed with the taste. Not strong in black pepper taste and rather tasteless. The noodle texture was good though. Rating: 3/5

7. Kailan with mei cai ($12) - crunchy big kailan blanched to retain its vitamins with mei cai. Love this dish best for its freshness and taste. Rating: 4/5

At Bistro, only cash term is allowed. So rem to bring more cash if you want to come to their Bistro branch. There is no GST and service charge.

Located at Skysuites @ Anson, this small cosy Japanese restaurant offers very delicious Japanese dishes way above our expectation. It was offering 50% discount for all ala-carte menu excluding drinks.

The restaurant has only small table dining indoors housing less than 15 people and another 3 more 4 seater table outdoors. 1 friendly server with 3 chefs taking care of the orders.

We opted for their outdoor dining as it's more spacious. We ordered 5 dishes in all.

1. Nanami style California roll ($18) - big juicy California roll with aburi salmon. The salmon was thick and succulent and torched to the right texture. Its drizzled generously with wasabi mayo and cheese. Simply awesome! Rating: 4.2/5

2. Salmon salad ($15) - fresh salad with thick slices of fresh salmon sashimi. It's a healthy bowl of salad with homemade light wasabi dressing. Rating: 4/5

Opened by the same folks from Noodle Cafe at Golden Mile, Gu Thai Boat Noodle Cafe offers other Thai dishes other than the all popular Thai boat noodles.

The branch at Pomo mall offers a 1 mouthful boat noodle but this branch at Marina Square only offers the standard size dishes.

We were served by a friendly waitress but the cafe seemed very shorthanded. Only 2 servers outside and 2 chefs in the kitchen.

The servers were busy running around and the customer demand way surpassed the supply of the kitchen. We ordered 4 dishes and waited for a long time before food was served.

1. Stir fried kangkong ($8) - portion was small but surprisingly tasty. Not spicy despite the chilli padi. Rating: 3.8/5

2. Fried omelette ($10) - a little pricey for the size of the omelette but very well done. It was fluffy and yet not too oily. Goes well with the thai chilli sauce. Rating: 4/5

3. Stir fried chicken with cashew nuts ($15) - the sauce was good but the chicken slices were overly fried. Did not like the tough meat. Rating: 3/5

4. Beef boat noodle ($7.50) - the rice noodle was soft and delicious and soup base was rich in beef broth. You must like the spice taste in order to like the dish. Rating: 3.8/5

Harry's is a good place for drink and beer. A nice cool chillout bar that serves great food and drinks. Via Eatigo, Harry's is having 40% to 50% discount on all food items except drinks. We were at their Holland Village outlet today for a gals' night out.

The bar/restaurant was rather small and we had to sit outside. Luckily the evening was still cool. We went for their Harry 7 platter for 2 ($38) and classic caesar salad ($18).

The Harry 7 platter had some of their popular sides and appetizers. This include otah bread, fried squids, sausages, tandoori chicken, buffalo chicken, crackling fish skin and fries. The dishes come with a dish of very delicious bbq sauce. Among all, we like the tandoori chicken and fried squid best. The chicken was very nicely marinated with spices and very tender. The squid was surprisingly good and soft as well.

As for the caesar salad, nothing too spectacular except for the charcoal croutons.

If charged at their original price, don't think its worth it for the portion and standard but with the great offer, its still worth to chill out with frenz.

So just these 2 days, quickly come to Harry's to have a chillout with frenz!

Tokyo Soba is an offshoot of Yomoda Soba from Tokyo and has been around for 11 yrs. The soba is freshly made in-house and guarantees the best quality to the customers.

This little restaurant is located at Gopeng Street and houses less than 15 people within the restaurant.
Tokyo Soba at Tanjong Pagar

We were around the area today for dinner and was really glad that we tried. It’s definitely one of the better soba that we have tried so far, even with their sides.

We ordered their cold soba with pork cutlet and upsized the noodles ($16). Thumbs up for their soba noodle texture and juicy pork cutlet with tonkatsu sauce. We ordered their sides to go along, salad ($3.50), tori karaage ($3.50) and gyoza ($6).

All the sides are highly recommended as well, especially the juicy and tender tori karaage. Goes so well with the mayo.

There is free flow of complimentary green tea and we will definitely be back at this wonderful soba place for more of their delicious food.

TCC at Orchard Shopping Center, previously known as KUVO, offers contemporary Chinese Fusion cuisine served so elegantly in every way. The well decorated restaurant was located on the 2nd floor of the building.

The design of the restaurant was modern and the ambience felt so good. Place was classy and quiet and serves as a good place to eat to have frenz or family gathering.

TCC is offering ala-carte buffet lunch or dinner as well at very affordable price. Discount via Eatigo made the deal even better. We went for their ala-carte menu instead due to our small stomach. We ordered 4 dishes in all:

1. Fried prawn wantons with wasabi mayo ($8) - 6 crispily fried handmade wantons accompanied with wasabi mayo. So crunchy and delicious. The prawn filling was so freshed and we simply loved it. Rating: 4/5

We first encountered Xiao Yang Guo Kui in Shanghai. It is a very popular China snack among the locals. Queue is extremely long and many would go for their salty flavors. This popular local snack chain is now in Singapore and has opened 4 kiosks mainly in the northwest area.
Xiao Yang Guo Kui 小杨锅盔

We are at their Jurong East kiosk at the bus interchange. It is actually crispy bread spread with a very thin layer of filling. We opted for their mei cai flavor ($2.50). Crispy as it looks, it is a very fragrant snack to munch away. Gotta eat while its hot.

The snack is prepared freshly and baked in a deep hot pot whereby the dough will stick to the sides of the pot. The snack would be good for sharing as its quite big and eating too much of it can be quite difficult.

If you are looking for desserts, could try their red bean flavor instead. Hopefully this China local snack kiosk will be able to sustain in the ever changing market in SG.

With Eatigo discount, AOne Claypot at Star Vista is offering a 50% discount off all ala-carte menu at certain dinner times. We took the opportunity to eat at the restaurant on this rainy day since both of us were longing for something hot.

We opted for their non-aircon area and ordering is self service on paper. We ordered 4 dishes in all.

1. Century egg and meatball porridge ($11.90) - served in a claypot to keep the congee warm, this deliciously sweet porridge is filled with ingredients. 4 big bouncy meatballs with lots of century egg and braised nuts. The congee is a little watery as compared to Crystal Jades'. Rating: 3.9/5
