With so many recent reviews on this newly open nostalgic bakery at Keong Saik Road, we decided to give it a try ourselves this afternoon. The cafe is small and cosy with just about 15 to 20 people seaters.
There are lots of freshly baked breads and buns to choose from at the counter. We took their almond crossiant, sor hei and lap cheong bun. The almond crossiant ($3.90) danish was sinfully buttery and tasted so good.
The sor hei danish ($3.20) is actually a black and white danish with chocolate chips.
The french butter used as ingredient simply made the bread so fragrant and yummy. The lap cheong bun ($2.80) has an interesting local taste with a western feel.
Thumbs up are given to their kopi and teh. We ordered their milo kopi ($3.30) and kopi susu ($2.80).
Old traditional kopi with a twist of modern feel. The milo kopi tasted very much like mocha and was very good. We simply love their drinks!
This bakery cafe is definitely worth visiting, be it for breakfast or afternoon tea.
