"Freshly cooked spaghetti – Japanese Western style noodle house Goemon" started in 1976 with the opening of the first restaurant on Shibuya Koen Dori. Believing in providing quality spaghetti to customer, the restaurant uses the best Italian quality spaghetti served on porcelain plate called "Arita-Yaki".
The ambience at the Star Vista branch was cosy but table seatings a little tight, especially for the 2 seaters. Service was friendly with the servers attentive to customer's needs and requirement. We ordered their couple set for $39.90. The set comes with 2 soups, 2 spaghetti of your choice, either chicken karaage or potato wedges as sides and 2 drinks. All spaghetti on the menu can be choose from. I had sukiyaki spaghetti (rating: 4/5).
Sukiyaki spaghetti consists of thinly sliced beef stir fried with leek, mushrooms and japanese sauce. The lovely runny egg topping was to be mixed with the noodles. My buddy had seafood pestacora (rating: 4/5).
Tomato based spaghetti with generous portion of fresh seafood. The tanginess of the tomato based spurs up one's appetite. Both noodles were cooked to perfection with the right springiness. The chicken karaage as side comes with potato wedges. Chicken karaage pcs were tenderly fried but wedges ordinary. Soup provided was a small cup of clear miso soup with tofu.
Prices are subjected to service charge and gst. With the portion and quality, its worth visiting this restaurant to try their spaghetti.
