It's once again our department kickoff event. After a nice nasi lemak buffet lunch catered in office, we all set off to Tanjong Pagar for a high tea gathering.
The Marmalade Pantry is located at level one of Oasia Hotel Downtown. It usually serves English high tea set for 2 but given the large company crowd of 60 people, they catered buffet style high tea for us instead.
The high tea consisted of variety of scones, egg and beef sandwiches, open-faced prawn mayo sandwiches, and cupcakes.
The cupcakes were huge, but too sweet to our liking. Luckily we have a huge group to share the different flavours. The scones were rather hard and not buttery and sandwiches quite plain as well.
Not a recommended high tea set to try but we enjoyed the company and ambiance.
Overall we would still like to thank our organiser for organizing our event. In terms of food, it could do better.
