OMOOMODON at Star Vista

OMOOMODON is a newly opened Japanese and Korean Fusion restaurant that has taken over previously Blackball Taiwan dessert. The restaurant is easily accessible and can be seen from the escalator. 

The restaurant serves a wide range of dons, from healthy multi grain rice to white pearl rice, glass noodles and udon as well.  

As an opening promotion, OMOOMODON is offering at a fixed price of $8 for all their signature dons for the month of Nov. The original price ranges from $10 to $12. Ordering is done via the machine. 

Both cash and card can be accepted and a receipt with queue no will be printed upon successful transaction. We ordered 2 of their recommended dons: Yes Sir! Yes Sir! and Chick Chat. Yes Sir! Yes Sir! is multi grain rice served with kimchi omelette and sirloin steak and topped with seaweed. 

The steak is cooked to medium well as chosen. Tender yet cooked. The kimchi omelette gave the don a very flavorful taste and the overall combination with the beef is excellent. Chick Chat is multi grain rice with chicken karaage and salad. 

Looks plain but surprisingly very tasty as well. I felt very healthy with the generous portion of salad in the don. The portion is just nice. We ordered takoyaki as a side dish which was nothing too special. 

They have a special play corner where we can choose the different sauces to go with the don. There are bbq mayo, bibimbap sauce, etc to choose from. We love the BBQ mayo. Goes so well with the steak and chicken.

All food utensils and trays are expected to be returned to the rack after eating. So there's no service charge involved. 

This is a very nice fastfood don restaurant to visit with frenz for a quick meal and we will be back to try the rest of the dishes.
