It has been a long time since we last met up with our buddies, Dave and Eunice. Finally gotten a chance to meet them up for dinner at our favorite place, Star Vista.
We conveniently chose Star Vista because it is one mall with a wide range of food selection. Moreover with their recent renovation, there are even more to choose from.
We are all Japanese food lovers, thus decided to go for Yayoi which was situated at level 2 of the mall. It is right opposite the foodcourt. We easily gotten ourselves a table and started ordering food through the tablet.
Ordering of food allows no mistake as once confirmed cannot be cancelled. I had the mixed toji set, which has pork cutlet, beef slices and fried ebi with eggs. The egg mixture was really salty and you had to go with rice.
The cutlet was hard unlike those from Tonkatsu. Overall I found that this dish could have done better. Kevin had the wafu hamburg set. It's mixed beef patty on hotplate. The patty was tough but at least it wasn't too salty.
Dave had chicken don which he found it too salty too while Eunice had mixed grill set which had hamburg, sausage and grilled chicken. Among our dishes, Eunice one was the best. Tasty but not as salty.
We found that the branch at Bugis Plus was much better. The food wasn't so salty as we have remembered.
To kill our tastiness, we went for the newly opened Smoothie House for Mango dessert. Dave ordered the speciality, mango shaved ice with pana cotta.
Overall thumbs up! Soft ice that melts in the mouth and full of mango flavor. Yummy. A good place for mango desserts.
