Being the long Labour Day weekend, this week is definitely a week of food exploration and activities for us. We took time to sing karaoke at Teo Heng KTV Junction 10 and decided to try one of the restaurants there.
Thanks to the KTV and some children learning centres, they brought in some crowd to Junction 10 (previously known as Ten Mile Junction). No more Thai food for today but back to our Tze Char trail. We went to Kampong Chai Chee Halal restaurant and ordered some of their popular dishes. Kampong Fried Rice, sweet and sour fish, hotplate tofu and sambal kangkong. One great point of their menu is that there is option for 2, which means the portion and price is cheaper than "Small". Most tze char options will start at "Small" only. The Kampong fried rice was one person's portion.
Being a Halal restaurant, the waiters/waitresses are all Malays and they attracted quite a no. of Muslim families. After waiting for about 10 mins, here comes our food... first came the sizzling hotplate tofu.
Very tasty with generous portions of ingredients. It was followed by the Kampong Fried rice. Very huge portion as well for one person. It was fried in sambal and very tasty indeed with the fired ikan bilis on top.
Then came the sweet and sour fish slices and sambal kangkong.
Nothing too special about the fish dish but the kangkong is commendable.Very
nicely fried as the vegetable softness and freshness is still maintained.

Overall, the food here is good and definitely worth the price as they are nett with no GST and service charge.
My Overall Ratings:

Price: 4.5/5
Service: 3/5
Ambiance: 3/5
