Newly renovated Tiong Bahru Plaza is now open. Though there are still some store renovation going on, most of them are up with the food street ready. The food street is on the 2nd level and it comprises of a few restaurants like Dolce Tokyo, A One Claypot etc.
Both of us decided to go for Peranakan Cuisine for a change today as Nonya restaurants are hard to come by. We were approached by friendly staff and made us feel at home. The recommended dishes were chin cha lok omelette, satay bohong (pork slices with peanut sauce) & nonya chap chye.
We both enjoyed the omelette and chap chye as it gives us a very homecook taste.
I do not enjoy the bohong dish as it was a little too porky for my liking. One thing definitely to taste is the belacan dip. Spicy with excellent lemongrass taste.

There are many other dishes to try but I believe there are better nonya restaurants to choose from.
