Ginza Kushi-Katsu 銀座串勝 offers a variety of "Kushi-Katsu" – deep fried Japanese skewered meat & vegetables with their signature item, "Gyu-Katsu" – beef cutlet, being the first of its kind in Singapore.
Using premium Australian beef fillet, the meat is deep fried for only 60 seconds at 210°C. This precise method gives the beef cutlet its wonderful crispy crust while the meat remains medium-rare within.
Every table has a hot stone pot for the gyu katsu. Customers can use this hot stone pot to fry the beef slices to their texture liking.
I prefer mine medium well while Kevin prefers his medium. Each gyu katsu set comes with side salad, potato salad, miso soup, rice and a small cup of lovely milk pudding. We can dip the fillet in wasabi or worchester sauce. Simply awesome!
Every bite into the fillet could taste its sweetness and tenderness. Never fails to disappoint us.
Besides the gyu set, we ordered their the other signature dish, crab cream croquette omu rice. The creamy crab sauce was a heavenly combination with the omu rice.
Though the egg wasn't that fluffy, the croquette and sauce could be use to compensate this shortfall anytime. The set comes with side salad and dessert as well. The milk pudding is milky and not too sweet. Great way to end the meal.
For non pork lovers, we highly recommend Ginza Kushi Katsu for their beef katsu.
