The Public Izayaka is a modern yet traditional Japanese restaurant located at Tanjong Pagar. There are 2 branches, with the first one at Tras Link. The 2nd branch is located at 100AM.
It offers great Japanese food and snacks good for drinks. Even on a Mon evening, the place was crowded with working adults enjoying drinks and food.

My lovely buddies arranged for a mini birthday celebration for me. We sat outdoors as the indoor seats were all taken.
We love the cosy ambience but was rather hot as we ate the food. Sitting indoors are preferred but we may smell like yakitori. We ordered the following items for dinner:
1. Chicken karaage - big and juicy chicken chunks deep fried with soyu batter. I have never eaten a karaage so big and good. Yummilicious!
2. Assorted oden - oden is basically japanese yong tau fu. We love the broth and the various freshly made oden.
3. Assorted yakitori - we skipped the innards version. The yakitori are tenderly grilled and are basically excellent sides with beer.
4. Chicken skewers with minced meat on rice and onsen egg - we love this don. The chicken pcs are so tender and the combination with the high quality japanese rice and minced meat sauce and onsen egg was simply mouth watering and a don worth the price to try.
5. Chicken skewers with minced meat soba - similar to the don version but in tasty chicken broth.
6. Tempura soba - a generous portion of springy soba with tempura sides. Another awesome staple.
With the great company and food, we really enjoyed this meal. Thank you to my lovely buddies for this meal. We will visit it again for its delicious food.
