Tae Woo Korean Restaurant has finally re-opened after several months of renovation. The traditional Korean wooden house feel still remains except the furnitures are much newer. Being recommended for their jajangmyeon, we definitely won't give it miss.
The restaurant is quiet, warm and filled with korean music. We ordered two dishes in all which is enough to burst our tummy. We had jajangmyeon ($12) and fried chicken with garlic ($35). The dishes are rather pricey but we definitely enjoyed them. The servers are pretty looking Koreans and they look so much like sisters.
The jajangmyeon noodle is so springy and cooked to the right texture and covered with the thick black bean sauce. The sauce was less thick as compared to Obba jajangmyeon. I personally prefer the sauce from Obba. Nevertheless still a very good dish. Rating: 4/5
The fried chicken with garlic is a must order dish. Though pricey, the dish was very well done. Juicy big chicken chunks deep fried and cooked with spicy garlic sauce. Finger lickin' good and goes very well with a glass of cold beer. Rating: 4.2/5
Tae Woo Korean restaurant not only serves the Koreans but allow one to taste authentic Korean food without having to visit Korea.
