The Lazy Garden at City Square Mall Farrer Park

The Lazy Garden is a halal certified western fusion restaurant located on the 2nd level of City Square Mall at Farrer Park. 

With its cosy and child friendly environment, the restaurant is very well received with many families with young children. There is a small play corner for toddlers to enjoy while the adults are having their meal. 

The restaurant has always been offering 1 for 1 main course and dim sum promo. The only catch is that each of us will need to order 1 drink each. We were there for dinner after visiting our buddies' place. Here's what we had:

1. Japanese angus beef patty curry rice ($18.90) - soft tender beef patty with runny sunny side up egg on rice and with japanese curry sauce. Portion is generous but patty is a little dry on the outside. Fortunately still tender on the inside. Rating: 3.6/5

2. Grilled chicken chop ($18.90) - tenderly grilled chicken chop with mushroom sauce on hotplate with corns, fries and egg. Nothing too special in taste. Rating: 3.6/5

3. Sweet and sour lychee chicken ($15.90) - an asian dish served in claypot and with rice and egg. The sauce was tangy and very appetizing indeed. Rating: 3.7/6

4. Angus beef patty with pancakes ($23.90) - 3 slices of fluffy pancakes with maple syrup served with juicy angus beef patty. The pancake is very well done. Soft and fluffy and goes very well with the maple syrup and butter. Rating: 3.9/5

5. Mentaiko french fries ($8.90) - generous portion of crispily fried french fries with lots of mentaiko sauce and seaweed. The mentaiko sauce is lacking a little in taste but still acceptable for its price. Rating: 3.5/5

Portion is huge and very value for money for a western fusion meal. No wonder the restaurant is always filled with people on a weekend.
