Located on the 7th floor of Takashimaya in downtown Kyoto, Royal Kitchen serves a wide range of western japanese cuisine. The ambience was great. Not too crowded and area so spacious.
We ordered the following items for dinner:
1. Hamburg and prawn set - this generous set is served on hotplate. The mini onion soup and salad were first served. The soup comes in a small expresso cup. So cute... The hamburg steak was juicy and thick. Each bite of the steak could feel the juice oozing out. The fried prawn was so juicy as well. The sides were sweet butter corn and fries. All these accompanied with a plate of white rice. Rating: 4/5
2. Tempura soba - soba is Kevin's favourite. Could see that he enjoyed every mouthful of the springy cold soba and fried tempura. All so delicious. Rating: 4/5
Royal Kitchen definitely serves an affordable Japanese English meal for families in downtown Kyoto.
