The Good Trio 三人行, is a contemporary Chinese restaurant known for its braised nanping noodle which is very much like the ones offered at Putien Restaurant. Even the chilli sauce offered on the table tasted so much like it.
With their first restaurant at Thomson Plaza, The Good Trio opened its 2nd branch at Jcube 1st floor just opposite WingStop. The staff were friendly and the ambience was excellent.
Besides the main dishes, The Good Trio also offered several dim sum dishes like siew mai and many other dumplings dian xin. We ordered 3 mains and 1 dian xin for today.
1. Braised nanping noodle ($10.90) - deliciously braised noodles with generous ingredients like cockles, seafood and vegetables. This noodle dish is a must to go with the chilli sauce. Awesome combi! Its very tasting but still lack in authencity taste as compared to the one offered in Putien. Rating: 3.9/5
2. Steamed wanton with chilli ($7.90) - this was the only dim sum dish we ordered. 10 big wantons served in bamboo with very appetizing sour chilli oil. Tasted very close to 抄手 and we liked it. Rating: 3.9/5
3. Stir fried kailan with beancurd skin ($12.90) - loved the braised taukee with thickened oyster sauce and kailan. Rating: 4/5
4. Salted egg yolk chicken ($15.90) - deboned juicy chicken pcs deep fried and sauteed with salted egg yolk sauce. A little dry to my liking but Kevin loved it. Rating: 3.9/5
Overall, The Good Trio is a family friendly restaurant good for gatherings. Discounts are now available at Eatigo as well daily. So come give this restaurant a try while promotion is still on.
