This old school Hainanese coffeeshop has been around for ages. Located along the main road, YY Ka Fei Dian not only serves the traditional kopi bread and eggs but they also offer many other Hainanese dishes like chicken rice, sweet and sour pork rice etc etc.
The kaya toast is indeed the best toast ever eaten so far. The fluffy bun is homemade and charred to thr right texture and crispiness. The kaya and butter melt combi was simply so heavenly with every mouthful with the smooth half boiled egg. Would rate this bun 4.5/5!!
The kopi was smooth with the old roasted taste as well. Kevin had the claypot yellow noodles at $5. Looks ordinary but the yellow noodles were so nicely braised in gravy and soft. Yummilicious! Rating: 4/5
We bought some of their other bread and kuehs to try which were simply delicious as well. For a great cup of kopi and toast, YY Ka Fei Dian should be one of the few choices to come to. :-)
