Satisfying our 川菜 craving, we decided to go for Sichuan Chef for dinner today before our church activities at Northpoint City.
Located among the newly opened food wing with the rest of the restaurants like Yuba Hut, Szechuan Chef is located just opposite BonChon chicken. The restaurant isn't big, with just enough tables for 20 people.
We ordered 3 mains and a side as below.
1. Black fungus vinegar ($6) - delicious crunchy black fungus marinated in black vinegar, minced garlic and cut chilli. Love the crunchy and tanginess. Rating: 4.2/5
2. Pork with green pepper ($10) - thinly sliced pork with shredded green and red pepper. A very tasty dish to go with rice. Rating: 4/5
3. Mapo tofu ($8) - silky tofu with leek and minced pork in mapo sauce. It really numbs your mouth but not that spicy overall. Rating: 3.9/5
4. You mai cai ($8) - crunchy vegetables sauteed with garlic. Fresh and delicious. Rating: 3.9/5
Portion is generous including the sides. We love the food and glad that we tried the restaurant. We would be back once again. Be there early to avoid the queue.
