The Glass Onion, a cosy bistro and bar restaurant, is located at the side of Hotel Mi opposite NAFA Arts School at Bencoolen Street.
Through Eatigo, we were entitled 40% discount on all ala-carte dishes on the menu excluding drinks. As the restaurant name indicates, The Glass Onion is supposedly to be good for their onion dishes.
The staffs were friendly and were enthusiastic in recommending some of their dishes.

1. Ikayaki ($13) - grilled squid marinated overnight with sake. The squid was tender and very fragrantly grilled. Although we could not taste the sake, it still deserves a thumbs up. Rating: 4/5
2. Norwegian salmon fillet ($22) - panfried salmon fillet with homemade tangy sauce on top of fresh greens and potato pcs. Portion was generous and food tasted great! Rating: 4/5
3. Crab salad ($13) - freshly shredded crab flesh with tangy sauce tossed with greens. Refreshing and healthy. Rating: 4/5
4. Glass onion rings ($10) - fresh onions deep fried in homemade batter accompanied with garlic mayo. Heavenly tasting and its definitely one of the best onion rings we had! Rating: 4.2/5
Service was great but the food serving was a little messed up as repeated dishes were served to the tables. Other than this, The Glass Onion is definitely a good place to catch up with frenz.
A summary of what we had:
Ikayaki
Norwegian salmon fillet
Crab salad
Glass onion rings
My overall ratings:
