Old Chengdu, an authentic Sichuan cuisine restaurant located at Pagoda Street of Chinatown, was featured in CCTV4's "One Belt One Road" documentary for its authencity.
The restaurant offers a wide range of Sichuan menu which the Sichuan Chinese would recommend and visit if they miss their hometown cuisine.
The restaurant is just located very near the Chinatown MRT entrance and is managed by a group of bubbly, warm staff.

There are 2 levels, where we were directed to the first floor since there were only the 2 of us. We ordered 4 dishes in total:
1. Cold noodles ($4.50) - 凉面 in chinese. It is cold noodles tossed with shredded cucumber, chilli oil and paste and vinegar. Awesomely good and tasted much like what we had in China. Rating: 4.5/5
2. Pork dumplings in spicy sauce ($7) - 抄手 in chinese. Smooth and silky wantons in spicy vinegar sauce. So good that I could drink the soup with it. Rating: 4.5/5
3. Shredded pork in hot garlic sauce ($12.50) - i do not usually eat bamboo shoots but this dish is so well done and fragrantly cooked that I ate the shoots so happily with the shredded pork and fungus. Goes so well with a bowl of rice. Rating: 4.5/5
4. Garlic dou miao ($8) - nothing too special but very fragrantly fried as well. Rating: 4/5
Portion is generous and we love their authentic Sichuan flavour in every dish. Thumbs up and we will be back!
