AOne Claypot House serves premium claypot dishes and porridge with Singaporean homecook food style. With many outlets located across Singapore, AOne Claypot House offers a wide variety of congee, noodles and rice items to choose from.
Located on 1st floor of Star Vista, AOne Claypot House can be easily spotted opposite the escalator. We were showed to our table by friendly staff. Order has to be written on the ordering sheet by yourself and the servers will come around confirming your dishes. Here's our dinner menu for today:
1. Deep fried pumpkin and lotus root with salted egg - priced at $14.90. Pieces of lotus root and pumpkin were fried in thick batter and stir fried with salted egg sauce. It was dry with not much salted egg taste. A little disappointing with the dish. Rating: 3/5
2. Dried scallop, cuttlefish and shredded chicken congee - priced at $11.90. Served in claypot, this dish is enough to be shared with 2 persons. The congee was thick and could see big pcs of rice grain. Would have prefer the congee from Crystal Jade which tasted much smoother. Rating: 3.2/5
3. Deep fried seabass in HK style - priced at $18.80. This was a special promo for OCBC card holders. Originally the dish is priced at $28.80. The fish was fresh and fried very crispily. It was drizzled with soy sauce and lots of shredded ginger and parsley. A dish worth trying. Rating: 3.8/5
4. Char siew bun - priced at $2.20. Another daily promo by the restaurant. The buns are fluffy with char siew filling. Comparable to other dim sum restaurants. Rating: 3.5/5
We have yet to try their rice dishes but in terms of porridge, we would personally prefer others.
