Kevin's cousin is here from Australia so it's time for us to bring him around to explore food. Since we are all lovers of Japanese food, we decided to try the popular and recommended tendon in Tanjong Pagar. We left work especially early today to queue for this tendon.
We reached there about 6.10pm and we're surprised that we still had to queue. Tendon Ginza Itsuki only offers 2 menu, either the vegetable or special tendon. The vegetable tendon is purely vegetable tempura drizzled with their special tendon sauce.
The special tendon comprises of 2pcs of chicken, 2 prawns and a range of vegetables and their lovely cooked egg. Portion is so generous and food is so good.. Each tendon comes with miso soup and chawamushi.
They had free cabbage pickles to accompany the tendon to remove the greasiness of the tendon. The only negative thing is we smell like tendon after that!
After having such a hearty meal, we ended with a healthy drink from Tsujiri. Tsujiri serves all kinds of matcha drinks and desserts. We skipped the sinful soft serve but went for the healthy matcha and ocha. Real authentic Japanese green tea.
We all had a wonderful time and glad that Kevin's cousin enjoyed it too.
