Along the same side as Obba Jjajangmyeon, Hong Jja Jang is another newly opened Korean restaurant offering a wide range of Korean Chinese dishes. Jjajangmyeon is definitely their main attraction as its shop name implies.
The attractive container looking shop attracted my customers to them. Unfortunately the seating area isn't big.
The owner is a young Korean and he welcomed us with a warm smile. The restaurant was hot as the ventilation system isn't good. Cooking smoke is coming out from the kitchen and was choking to some customers. The restaurant was warm despite the big fans blowing.
The servers are mainly Koreans but the chefs are all Chinese. Probably this is what it makes to be a Korean Chinese restaurant. Haha!
We ordered 2 mains:
1. Tang jja myeon ($18) - Half and half sweet and sour pork strips with jjajangmyeon. The jjajangmyeon gravy is not as thick and tasty as Obba but noodles are still springy and delicious. The sweet and sour pork strips wins Obba especially with their tangy thick sauce. Rating: 3.8/5
2. Mul nang myun ($18) - its cold buckwheat noodles. Disappointing with its flat taste and lumpy noodles as they were all sticked together. Rating: 3/5
Till current, Hong is still offering complimentary free steam egg, salad, side dishes and ice lemon tea. Steam egg is a little tasteless and we had to drizzle some soy sauce over.
The salad and side dishes were average as well. These dishes are definitely required to tie customers over the waiting time as we had to wait 20mins before our 1st dish was served. The kitchen order seems messy from the looks of it and some customers were chasing for their dishes.

Hopefully Hong will get better in terms of their food service over time.
A summary of what we had:
Tang jja myeon
Mul nang myun
My overall ratings:
Food: 3.4/5
Price: 3.2/5
Service: 3.5/5
Ambience: 3/5
