Salmon Zukushi is the main theme for the Ichiban Boshi branch at Tiong Bahru Plaza. As the name suggests, it offers a wide range of unique salmon dishes ranging from sushis to dons. We have previously reviewed on this restaurant but we are back here once again to try the salmon dishes created by the branch's chef.
We went for 2 of their salmon dons: salmon california don ($14.90) and salmon aburi mentai don ($15.90). The salmon california don is made up of freshly cut salmon sashimi, tomago egg, crabmeat, avacado topped with crispy flakes and mayo. The combination is absolutely delicious especially with the crunchiness of the flakes. The aburi mentai don is equally good as well. Flame torched salmon with avocado and tamago eggs. The mentai tasted so good and I am so in love with it. Rating: 4/5
We had cereal tori karaage and yasai salad as sides which were reviewed previously. Both tasted still as good. For salmon dishes, Ichiban Boshi Salmon Zukushi is worth a try, except the food waiting time can be little long.
