Takezo Ramen by Menya Musashi is one of the restaurants recently opened at the basement of Clementi Mall. It took over Man Lee Bak Kut Teh. Takezo Ramen offers dry ramen with fried maze soba. The dry ramen comes with onsen egg and thick broth for dipping the ramen into or drinking.
They also offer the usual ramen set coupled with sides very similar to Ajisen ramen. There are 4 kinds of broth to choose from for ramen: white, red, black, super spicy. I took the nankotsu black ramen. The noodles were springy and the soup broth was thick and delicious with the strong garlic taste. The nankotsu was soft and tender and portion was a little small as compared to other ramen stalls. The side coupled with it was okos gyoza. Its panfried gyoza drizzled with mayo and brown sauce. Deliciously done! Rating: 4/5
Kevin had the 5pc cha maze soba set. The noodles were tasty and with the onsen egg mixed into it, it was very delicious. However the fried maze soba was a little salty and hard to our liking. The white fish side dish was crispy on the outside but did not taste as good as the white fish from Ajisen. Rating: 3.8/5
Overall, Takezo ramen offers a different variety of ramen as compared to other ramen stalls so no harm giving this place a try.
