Our 2nd review on Itacho Sushi after quite some time... It has been months since we last ate the food from Itacho and the restaurant has introduced new dishes.
We were at their JCube branch this evening for dinner and had the following items on our dinner list:
1. Assorted salmon sushi - this includes roasted soy sauce salmon skin with fish caviar, salmon and skin, roasted salmon with wasabi mayo and cod mayo. The sushi were very fresh and could feel the salmon melting in our mouth. They were having special discounts and each pc was 60 - 90 cents. Rating: 4/5
2. Wafu pork salad - delicious wafu pork strips with fresh vegetables and seaweed. The sesame sauce added gave the extra addictiveness. Rating: 4.2/5
3. Cold zaru soba - we didn't had high hopes on this dish given the price but we were so wrong... It was extremely delicious with the soba sauce. Noodles tasted so good... Rating: 4/5
4. Roasted egg and curry lobster - 4pcs of tamago with curry lobster filling. It tasted like any other sweet egg. Rating: 3.5/5
5. Top salmon belly with black pepper - 4pcs of small salmon belly soaked in gravy with black pepper. Wasn't too delicious and was tad salty. Rating: 3/5
6. Deep fried chicken - has always been a fan of karaage and this dish did not disappoint us. Crispy, tasty and tender. Delicious with mayo. Rating: 4/5
7. Roasted salmon with tenkasu roll - roasted salmon on rice roll with egg. The taste wasn't as good as the rolls from Aburi Sushi restaurant. Rating: 3.5/5
Itacho sushi definitely offers a wide variety of food and with their ever changing menu, one can never get sick of the items.
