Caffe Pralet by Creative Culinaire is situated behind Link Hotel at Eng Hoon Street. This is a very nice, cosy cafe for friends gathering and it offers free wifi as well.
We stumbled upon this cafe when browsing through Eatigo for good deals. Caffe Pralet is offering 50% off ala carte food menu during dinner times.
They offer mainly western and fusion food. We ordered 2 of their recommended dishes: tom yum seafood pasta and grilled satay chicken chop. We topped up additional $7 for a soup, drink and cake.
The drink ordered was sour plum drink. It perks you up and opens one appetite. The soup served was mushroom soup. Thick, chunky mushroom soup and we could feel the mushroom bits every mouthful.
The tom yum pasta was spicy and sour. They were generous with their seafood ingredients. The gravy was a little watery as compared to the one in 49 seats but it was rather appetizing due to the sourness.
No problem in finishing one plate on your own despite the generous portion. The grilled satay chicken was good as well. Grilled tender chicken chop with satay sauce. It is accompanied with rosti, sour cream and side salad.
The rosti was very fragrant and crispily fried. The chicken tasted like eating satay sticks with a little charred on the skin.
We chose carrot cake for dessert. Fluffy and light carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Very good cake to end the meal.
Overall, this is a recommended cafe to visit with frenz for gathering.
