Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen at Middle Road

Not having enough authentic Thai food when we were in Bangkok last Dec, we decided to continue with our exploration in SG. 

Since we were at Bugis area doing our CNY shopping, we went to the recommended Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen at Middle Road for dinner. 

This Thai restaurant is just located beside the popular Le Confectionary popular for their pingpong size ball pineapple tarts. 

Aroy Dee opens at 5pm for dinner. Restaurant space is rather small so to avoid the usual dinner crowd, do come early. 

We managed to get a table indoor. The following highly recommended dishes were ordered: 

1. Stir fried fish slices with three taste sauce - this dish is only recommended for those who can take spicy. The 3 taste were sweet, salty and spicy. A very frangrant dish worth the try if one can take hot. Fish slices were soft and fresh. 

2. Pineapple rice - fragrant pineapple rice accompanied with chicken floss. May not be the best pineapple rice but still above average.

3. Stir fried kangkong with oyster sauce - we thought this dish will not be spicy but we were wrong. It was fried with chilli padi and its spicier than the kangkong fried with sambal. 

4. Fried omelette with pork - not the super fluffy kind and it tasted like eating fried oyster omelette especially with the chilli sauce accompanying it. A dish good enough to eat on its own with rice. 

No service charge and gst for Aroy Dee and dish prices are economical. A restaurant recommended for those who love spicy authentic Thai food.
