Wine Connection Bar & Bistro at HillV2

Today is our weekly Sunday family dinner and my sister recommended us to try Wine Connection Bar & Bistro at HillV2 for some spanish/western cuisine.

HillV2 is just 100m walk from Downtown Hillview Station. At HillV2, it is basically a shopping centre for food lovers. There are many restaurants to choose from and not much other shopping. Wine Connection is situated on the 2nd floor. We were served to our seats by friendly staff. We ordered quite a bit of food today:

1. Seafood spaghetti
2. Seafood penne
3. Carnivore
4. Bread basket
5. Tomato and mozzarella
6. Spanish style gambas
7. Grilled sirloin
8. Spanish paella
9. Molten lava cake
10. Apple crumble

Let's review on the tomato and mozzarella, spanish style gambas and bread basket first since they are appetizers. The tomato and mozzarella has a smoked taste to it, which makes it unique. The prawns from the spanish style gambas are fresh and crunchy. The olive oil that was used to cook in are tasty and good and goes very well when dipped with bread.






Kevin and I shared the spanish paella. Generous portions of chicken and seafood cooked in spanish way. I found the rice too wet and not tasty enough. 

Mussels are too fishy for my liking. Mummy's and nephew's pastas are good, with strong red wine taste. Generous portions of seafood as well. 




Brother-in-law's grilled sirloin was cooked to the right texture accompanied by wedges and vegetables. 


Lastly, sister's carnivore was a good choice. Carnivore is pizza with bbq chicken and chilli. The pizza crust is thin and ingredients generous as well.

For desserts, we have molten lava cake and apple crumble. Both desserts are absolutely delicious. Save some stomach for them.

Service was good with very fast food serving time. A nice restaurant for both couples and families.
