It was raining cats and dogs and what's the best on a cold day? Ramen??? This time, Kevin suggested eating pho instead as he preferred something light.
We decided to try O Banh Mi at Tiong Bahru Plaza since it is only a 6 min ride from our office at Queenstown via MRT. There was a short queue when we arrived but was showed to our seats quite quickly by the staff.
Today's menu includes:
1. Grilled chicken dry vermicelli
2. Beef brisket pho
3. Tofu summer roll

Kevin took the pho as he wanted light and soupy stuff on a cold day. Soup base was good. Tasty but yet not too minty and the meat was fresh. I definitely still prefer their dry version.
The chicken vermicelli was excellent as their homemade sauce was good.
Chicken tenderly grilled and spring roll crispy and filled with ingredients.
The tofu summer roll was our appetizer. Tofu wrapped with rice paper and vegetables accompanied by their special sauce. The sauce was sweet with peanuts and tasted delicious.

Overall, O Banh Mi is a good restaurant for Vietnamese food and definitely comparable or even better than Pho Street in terms of noodle texture. The best thing is no gst and service charge.
