Hokkaido Ryori, another concept of Ichiban Boshi, offers Hokkaido speciality dishes with a very wide range of salmon items.
Located at B1 of Waterway Point, this Ichiban Boshi restaurant is packed with customers as early as 530pm. Fortunately we only had to wait for 20mins before our turn. The servers are cheery, always putting on a smile. We ordered 3 main staples and 2 sides today.
1. Shitake ebi mentai mayo ($8.90) - 3 juicy shitake mushrooms topped with prawn and deep fried with tempura coating. The latter is then topped with mentaiko mayo. Deliciously good! Rating: 4/5
2. Teriyaki beef don ($11.90) - tender beef slices fried with onions and bell peppers in teriyaki sauces. A very good don to satisfy a hungry tummy. Rating: 4/5
3. Chicken pirikara udon ($11.90) - hot udon with healthy vegetables, tofu and mushroom. The chicken that came as sides were tender and juicy. The sauce was delicious and enhanced the soup flavour. Rating: 4/5
4. Potato salad ($4.90) - small dish of potato salad with fresh lettuce dishes. Rating: 3.8/5
5. Hokkaido buta don ($12.90) - one of their Hokkaido speciality dishes. The pork slices are tenderly braised with their speciality sauce with onsen egg. Kevin loved it but I personally found it a little porky. Rating: 3.9/5
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Hokkaido Ryori. We would be back to try more of their other dishes the next round.
