Founder Bak Kut Teh has been established since 40 years ago in 1978 by founder Mr Chua. The broth recipe comes from Mr Chua himself and has been improving all these years.
Founder has evolved from just selling bak kut teh to many other dishes. We were at their Jurong Point branch for dinner today.

With promotion at Eatigo, there was 10% discount entitlement for all dishes. We ordered the following highly recommended dishes:
1. Founder bak kut teh ($9.80) - their signature bak kut teh. 1 prime rib with 2pcs of normal rib in peppery white soup. The soup is refillable. Its peppery but doesn't taste as rich as Song Fa's. Rating: 3.8/5
2. Tau kee ($3.50) - a bowl of deliciously braised tau kee in dark sauce. So deliciously done and deserves the thumbs up. Rating: 4.2/5
3. Tau pok ($2) - braised in dark sauce as well, the tau pok is fluffy and well soaked up with the dark sauce that is strong in spices. Rating: 4/5
4. Salted vegetables ($3.50) - we simply loved this dish best. Preserved vegetables braised with garlic and chilli. So good to eat it on its own and with plain rice. Rating: 4.5/5
5. Prawn roll ($6.90) - introducing their fried crunchy prawn roll served with sweet plum sauce. The prawn roll is not as fragrant as some other restaurants but still acceptable in taste. Rating: 3.2/5
6. Lettuce with oyster sauce ($5.90) - fresh crunchy lettuce topped with oyster sauce and fried shallots. Rating: 3.5/5
Introducing their new charcoal you tiao, its not as fragrant as the normal ones as its less crunchy. However overall food is good with prompt and friendly service.
