Taking over the previous Griddy, Bowl Thai is another Select group restaurant offering economical Thai staples. Bowl Thai offers the typical street noodles and rice dishes with a small range of side dishes like mango salad, thai fish cake etc.
Ordering has to be done at the cashier and with their opening promo, it is offering 50% off 2nd mains with every first ordered. We had street side pork combination noodles ($8.90 - rating: 3.2/5) and tom yum fried fish noodle clear soup ($8.90 - rating: 3.5/5).
Street side pork combination noodles - Bowl Thai at Westgate
Tom yum fried fish noodle clear soup - Bowl Thai at Westgate
The pork noodles has a garlicky taste and soup broth was sweet but tad watered down. The tom yum fried fish soup was not spicy but very appetizing as it was slightly sourish. Fish was fresh and portion generous.
Fried prawnroll - Bowl Thai at Westgate
As sides, we ordered fried prawnroll ($6.90 - rating: 3.5/5). The prawn roll has a thai spice taste as compared to the usual five spice taste. Quite different.
For a simple quick Thai meal, Bowl Thai can definitely be considered.
