Still on our Korean food craze, we are back at Tanjong Pagar to try more today. Groupon is having promotion for Baro Baro, a popular Korean street food chain recommended for its egg bread and kimbap.
Also they are good at their attractive and cute looking light bulb drinks. For $24, we are entitled to buy $40 worth of food.
Ordering of food is self service at the counter. There is not much seats for dining so one advice is gotta be early or avoid the usual dining time to avoid waiting. We ordered a sumptuous spread of food as follow:
1. Jajangmyeon with bulgogi kimbap - jajangmyeon wasn't as delicious as the one we had last week at O'bba. The taste was a little blend. The bulgogi kimbap on their hand was very very good. Generous in their ingredients and the rice had the chewy springy texture.
2. Tokpokki with assorted tweekim - disappointing dishes as the tokpokki gravy was watery. Fortunately the taste was still acceptable. The assorted tweekim consisted of 6 fried side food like dumpling, tempura prawn and fried vermicilli roll. This dish was cold and could taste the oil taste.
3. Dupbap - its marinated bulgogi or spicy chicken on top of rice. Supposedly to be like bibimbap but not as good and tasty.
4. Drinks - the lightbulb drinks are good especially the lime one. Refreshing taste. The blueberry smoothies was a tad sweet.
Overall, for a simple Korean meal, Baro Baro can be considered.

We weren't too satisfied after dinner. So we visited Hattendo cafe at Tanjong Pagar Center for desserts. This lovely cream buns are definitely worth the try. Tasted so soft, creamy and not sweet.
The bun had a very sweet bread taste which reminded me of those bread at the old school bakery during my childhood days.
Awesome buns worth the try!
