Vision Exchange is a commercial development brought by Sim Lian Group. It aims to develop as a busy commercial hub with all the business developments around it.
As of current moment, there aren't many shops opened. Only 2 restaurants and a hair salon. One commendable hidden gem is Kin Kin Thai Kitchen on the 2nd floor of Vision Exchange.
The interior of the restaurant is very simple. Less than 10 tables with wooden seats. The aircon ventilation wasn't strong, thus they left their doors opened with fans circulating the air. Took a peep into their kitchen and could see that the chefs are rather young. Even the menu taker was very young as well.
We tried 4 of their dishes as follow:
1. Olive fried rice ($5) - fragrantly fried olive rice with cashew nuts, shredded mango and chilli padi as condiments. I would give this staple dish 2 thumbs up as it was very delicious! Rating: 4.2/5
2. Green curry chicken ($8) - watery green curry chicken with chopped string beans and thai eggplant. Though watery, the green curry flavour was still strong enough. Rating: 3.8/5
3. Stir fried kailan with garlic ($6) - portion was real small but very tasty. Just another ordinary vegetable dish. Rating: 3.5/5
4. Tom yum omelette ($6) - a mixture of thai omelette, tom yum and oyster orh jian. The seafood was fresh with strong tom yum omelette flavour. The lemongrass could have been cut into smaller bits. Rating: 4/5
Overall, food was good and its really a hidden gem worth exploring. Best of all, there is no service charge and gst!
