Located in Gucco Tower at Tanjong Pagar, Kiwami is a subsidiary restaurant
similar to Aburi-En and Tamago-En. At Kiwami, the restaurant specialises
ramen and gyoza dishes. It has also introduced some new dishes like Japanese
garlic fried rice.
We were there on a weekday evening and were the first customers. Ordering is
done on a hard copy sheet and handed over to the friendly staff. We ordered
2 mains and 1 side:
1. Uni fried rice with wagyu beef ($12.90) - fragrantly fried rice
with uni pcs and soft tender wagyu slices. A very well done Japanese garlic
fried rice. Rating: 4/5
2. Chicken nanban maze soba ($11.90) - the ramen was of the right
springiness. Topped with raw egg yolk, crispy rice bits, spring onions and
5pcs of juicy chicken nanban pcs, this dish is absolutely worth the try.
Rating: 4.1/5
3. Tomato and cheese gyoza ($7.90) - a surprisingly good combination.
The tanginess of the tomato enhances the taste of the dishes. We simply love
this gyoza combi! Rating: 4.2/5
Overall in terms of food quality and price, Kiwami did not disappoint us. We
will definitely be back for more!
