Located on the 5th floor of Far East Plaza together with the rest of the
popular eateries like Susan Chan Cooked Food etc, Wok Wei Kitchen is a new
hidden gem worth the try. Wok Wei Kitchen offers many tze char dishes
variety at a very reasonable and affordable price. They are currently
offering set meals for 2 or 4 at $18 and $36.
The restaurant is clean and spacious, with not many customers though. The owner is a friendly uncle whom make one feel so at home. We opted for their 2 person set meal at $18, which comprises of fu yong omelette, imperial pork ribs and sambal kangkong with 2 plates of rice. We added salted vegetables tofu soup at $5 as well.
The fu yong omelette was nicely done, fluffy but not oily. It's only lacking a little in ingredients. Rating: 3.9/5
We simply love their imperial pork ribs, sambal kangkong and especially their salted vegetables tofu soup. Would rate them at 4.1/5. The imperial pork ribs sauce was really tasty with the pork ribs very crispy.
The sambal kangkong was very fragrantly fried with lots of hae bee and sambal. The salted vegetables soup was the best!! Tasted so homecooked with lots of ingredients like seafood and tofu . So comforting on a rainy evening.
Wok Wei Kitchen is definitely a hidden gem tze char restaurant at Far East Plaza worth the try.
