Another good deal from Eatigo. 50% off on all ala carte food menu at Gum Gang Won Korean fusion restaurant situated at Temple Street of Chinatown.
We were served by friendly Chinese staff who speaks rather good Korean as she was communicating to a group of Korean students with teachers. We decided to go for our favourite dishes like Japchae and tteokboki. We were then recommended to try their spicy chicken and fried string beans with pork.
Being a typical Korean restaurant, they served us 6 small sides. Kimchi was a little sour but guess it will make good kimchi soup.
The shredded potato strips were nice. First came kevin's favourite japchae.
It was well fried with beef strips and vegetables. Tasty! Eating the tteokboki gave me a feeling that we were back in Korea trying out the street food. The spicy chicken was fried and drizzled with sweet and spicy sauce.Chicken was tender but felt that the sauce could do better.

Lastly, the fried string beans with pork was a worth trying dish as the beans are juicy despite being fried and goes really well with the small fried pork bits. 2 thumbs up for this dish!
Overall, would say that Gum Gang Won is quite a good Korean Chinese restaurant to visit with the 50% discount. Else it would be considered on the pricey side.
